A ‘Talent Hunt’ was conducted in Jubilee Hills Public School on 20th and 21st of October to provide a platform for the students to showcase their talent. On this occasion various language and cultural competitions like Debate, Dramatics, Storytelling, Singing, Painting, Folk dances etc were conducted. The event had an enthralling number of 1796 participants in 51 competitions overall. The students from all the levels participated exuberantly and bagged 216 prizes.
A special assembly was conducted to celebrate ‘DIWALI’ on 21st October. The students spoke about the significance of the festival and gave away safety tips so as to enjoy the festival to its fullest. Cultural programmes were conducted and senior students bursted crackers. The school got transformed into a festive arena and the whole atmosphere was bustling with thrill and vigour.
The Chairman, Sri. A. Murali Mukund in his speech reiterated that participation is more important than winning the prizes. He said that school provides a stage for the students with opportunities which they should utilize to get trained and participate in various external competitions which can demonstrate their real cadre. He said that competitions pave way for one’s development of self confidence, creativity and originality. He congratulated the winners and said that teachers play a significant role in a student’s life.
The Chairman, Sri. A. Murali Mukund and Prof. Sri Y V U Varma, Member, Jubilee Hills Education Society gave away the prizes to the winners and appreciated everyone for presenting a fantastic programme. The Principal, Ms. M Varalakshmi wished the students, teachers and their families a very Happy Diwali.
