Jubilee Hills Public School bubbled with variety of cultural activities when it celebrated its Annual day function spectacularly in the school premises on Saturday 29th November. Ms.T.Rajani, Metropolitan Sessions Judge, Hyderabad was the Chief Guest for the day. She was accorded a warm welcome by the Managing Committee members, the Principal and the student council. The programme started with the Swagatham song and the students performed a dance to invoke Lord Ganesha’s blessings.
The Principal Ms.M.Varalakshmi welcomed the gathering and briefed about the school’s recent achievements. She further added that motto of every institution is excellence in academics and JHPS has been continuously excelling far and wide. As a nation’s culture resides in hearts and souls of its people the school always aims at the holistic development of the child.
The Academic Director Ms.G.Sreedevi addressed the gathering and in her speech she accentuated that foundation of nation is education of youth. The school focuses to motivate the level of intrinsic responsibilities and accountability among children.
The Secretary of Jubilee Hills Education Society and Chairman of Jubilee Hills Public School Sri A. Murali Mukund, in his speech quoted that it is a matter of pride and pleasure that JHPS has the best of technology and all other facilities for the children to excel. He emphasized that the children must read and write a lot which are quite essential to excel.
The Chief Guest Ms. T. Rajani, Metropolitan Session Judge appreciated the school’s excellent presentation. She added that success is the stamina we acquire by facing difficulty and the confidence that we earn in life. She stressed that the school must transform the knowledge into wisdom to raise a community which is sensitive to its surroundings. She also reminded that the teachers, along with their preaching, must provide an opportunity to learn from them, so that children can imitate all their good qualities.
The awards like Surapaneni Radhadevi Memorial award, Shantha Biotechnic award, School Topper awards(AISSE & AISSCE), Subject topper awards, were given away by the Chief Guest to the outstanding students to acknowledge their achievements. The president Sri Kode Satyanaraya gave away President’s best student award, special student award and Special Talent awards. The Chairman Sri A. Murali Mukund gave away the School general proficiency awards and prizes were given to the teachers who have put in 100% attendance during the academic year.
The cultural bonanza of students enthralled the parents. The melodious music, enthralling dances, dance-drama and skits in various languages mesmerized the audience. The school bore a festive and vibrant look. The evening witnessed colourful array of events with a merger of technological advances and talent. The function was attended by the parents, alumni, media people and other dignitaries.
The vote of thanks was proposed and the programme ended with the national anthem.

Honda Motor Cycle and Scooter India Private Limited conducted a workshop on Road safety rules and understanding traffic signs in Jubilee Hills Public School on 27th November. A quiz programme was organized for the children on traffic signals and signs. Prizes were given to the winners as a mark of appreciation. The students were made aware of the reasons for road accidents and the importance of using a helmet while riding. The learners were given an opportunity to use the simulators which provided the knowledge about where attention should be focused while riding.

‘Adhyayan’ – The knowledge fest (book week) was conducted in JUBILEE HILLS PUBLIC SCHOOL from 17th to 21st November in order to inculcate reading habit and hone the creative skills of the students. Throughout the week many competitions like Rhyme Depiction, Story-telling, Debate cum Panel discussion and Book Review were conducted for various classes.
A special assembly was conducted on 21st November. The Chief Guest for the day was Sri Dr. A Lakshmana Moorthy, Chief Consultant, BrahMos Aerospace, DRDL. In his speech, stressing on the importance of reading he said wherever one goes, one must carry a book and involve themselves in reading. He also said that many great leaders like Abraham Lincoln got their inspiration only by reading the autobiographies of other leaders. He requested the students not to waste their time by watching the television and instead read books that would develop their imagination and creativity. Finally he said, books are the forever companions and reading paves way to achieving goals.
The Chaiman, Mr.A Murali Mukund and other heads of the organization were present on this occasion. The Academic Director, Ms. G Sree Devi, also shared few of her childhood reading experiences and motivated children to become good readers.
DEAR – Time (Drop Everything and Read) was held on 20th November in order to promote reading habit in students. Each and every person in school premises stopped doing their work and enjoyed reading for half an hour. Prizes were given to the winners as a mark of appreciation.

Jubilee Hills Public School showcased the skill and talent of each and every student of class V through a spectacular show ‘Radiance’ on the theme ‘Communication’. The show was a journey which took the audience through the primeval era where the mode of communication were pigeons which transformed to the modern era of I-phones and tabs. The programme started with Swagatham and the students performed a dance to invoke Lord Ganesha’s blessings. All the 230 students of class V came on the stage either as a speaker, performer, dancer, singer or an orator. There was also a Jugalbandi concert in which child maestros played their respective musical instrument together.
The Principal Ms.M.Varalakshmi welcomed the gathering and briefed the school’s idea behind this programme. JHPS wants to provide maximum opportunity to each and every child in sports and cultural activities. ‘Radiance’ is a sincere attempt to reach this target. The Primary Headmistress Ms. Sonia Nagpal in her speech accentuated that a dream never comes true through magic. It takes sweat, determination and hard work. As every child is unique in their own way the teachers have nurtured each child of class V, helped and polished their talents to deliver the maximum.
The Chairman Sri A. Murali Mukund, appreciated the school’s wonderful performance of being so dynamic as each and every child showcased his or her talent. Academic Committee Chairman, Sri K.Krishnadev Rao and JHES committee member Sri M Krishnamurthy appreciated the involvement of teachers and students in full swing. The Academic Director Ms. G. Sree Devi, appreciated the way the children are shaped up through hard work and determination. She emphasized that education is not only text book studying, but also life skill learning. Success can be achieved when people shed their inhibition and showcase their talents.
