Jubilee Hills Public School celebrated the Annual Alumni meet ‘SYMPOSIUM’ on 27th December 2014, a day for old friends, old reminiscences and precious anecdotes. Many students right from the 1991 batch to the 2014 batch had the opportunity to meet their old friends and go down memory lane.
The programme started with a prayer song and the gathering was welcomed by the president of the Alumni Association – Mr. V. Seshagiri by giving bouquets. In his speech he asserted that this is the 5th year of ALUMNI meet at JHPS and since then all of them have developed a strong sense of bonding and togetherness. He extended his heartfelt thanks to all the management committee members for extending unconditional support and cooperation in organizing the event every year.
Mr. Krishna Kanth from the U.S.A. and Mr. Uma Maheshwar, two students from 1991-92 batch were very excited to be in school after 22 years. They extended all their support to the alumni association and promised to attend the programme every year.
The school premises was filled with fun and frolic, with many cultural programmes being presented by the students, with a Symphony too that was organized by the JHPS Alumni Association, enthralling the audience. Siddharth Nagarajan (an ex student of 2012 – 13 batch )gave a fabulous performance on drums. The Principal, Ms.M.Varalakshmi thanked the Alumni President, Mr.V.Seshagiri, Vice President, Mr.D.Srikanth, Treasurer, Mr. A. Akarsh Krishna, Mr.Ravi, Mr.Prashanth, Ms. Sirisha and Ms. Likitha for organizing such a wonderful programme.

Jubilee Hills Skill Development Centre organized career fair for students of class X. The programme started with a prayer and a welcome song. The Principal, Ms. M. Varalakshmi welcomed the Class X parents and students to the Career Fair and said that we cannot change people but we can make them feel the need for change.
The Chief Guest, Smt. G. Usha Rani, Senior Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon, Care Hospitals, gave a briefing about the opportunities available in the field of medicine. She said that whatever profession one chooses, patience and perseverance can only bring them the success. The School Counsellor, Ms. T. Aarthi, informed the parents and students that identifying the subject one is interested in, is the priority right now. One should always study something that one enjoys, only then is there a match between the aptitude and the attitude of the child. She advised the students to introspect their dreams and aspirations, and never to follow the crowd. She advised parents to guide the children in identifying their profession and not to dictate them.
The Academic Director, Ms. G. Sree Devi, said that the students at this age dream big but they do not put in the hard work that is required to grow big. She advised students to work with perseverance, so that they can achieve their set goals. Class X teachers, Ms.Anupama, Ms.Prasanna and Ms. Kanchana Valli, enlightened the students about the various streams available in sciences, commerce and humanities respectively. The Class X students thanked their teachers and management for organizing such a wonderful programme and giving them a clear idea about their future endeavours.

Jubilee Hills Public School showcased the skill and talent of each and every student of class III through a spectacular show ‘SPECTRUM’ on the theme of Rainbow colours. The programme started with Swagatham dance. All the 250 students of class III came on the stage either as a speaker, performer, dancer, singer or an orator. The Principal, Ms. M. Varalakshmi welcomed all the Class III parents and said that children today are very talented and with correct guidance they perform very well in all their activities.
The Primary Headmistress, Ms. Sonia Nagpal said that it is the motto of the school to make each and every student passing out of the school a confident individual with the ability to take right decisions. The Academic Director, Ms. G. Sree Devi said that the audience along with her were left speechless at the performances of the children. The children have exhibited their precious qualities like leadership, presence of mind, and team spirit. She thanked all the parents for the cooperation they have extended.
The Chairman Sri. A. Murali Mukund, appreciated the efforts of the Head Mistress, teachers and the students for putting up such a wonderful programme. He said that the children had innocence coupled with confidence in them. This confidence in them has brought out the team spirit and led to bonding amongst children and teachers.

The students and staff of Jubilee Hills Kindergarten School and Jubilee Hills Public School celebrated ‘Christmas’ with great enthusiasm and energy. A special assembly was conducted in which students spoke on the significance of the festival. The students from various classes sang Christmas carols and danced for Christmas songs. A teacher dressed as “SANTA CLAUS” went around the children and gave them sweets. The children enjoyed the mesmerizing performances.
The Academic Director, Ms. G. Sree Devi, narrated a story to enlighten the students about the importance of the giving and sharing. She mentioned that giving gifts to the needy is the best way of serving God.
The Principal, Ms. M. Varalakshmi, wished the students a Merry Christmas and spoke about the importance of being generous. The Chairman, Sri. A. Murali Mukund conveyed Christmas wishes to all the students and teachers. He expressed his happiness for the school being ranked as number one among the Hyderabad schools and said that it is the team work of the school fraternity that has helped the school to reach such great heights.

The Ganit week was celebrated in JUBILEE HILLS PUBLIC SCHOOL from 16.12.2014 to 22.12.2014. A lecture on the significance of Mathematics was delivered by Mr. K.V.Rao Gold Medalist in M.Sc Mathematics from Benaras Hindu University. Children were also motivated and given guidelines as to how they can improve their skills in the subject.
Different activities were conducted which included Origami, Essay writing and Poster making. Children participated with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm and exhibited their talent with creative and innovative ideas.
A Quiz competition was organized with a preliminary round after which the selected students were sent to the final round. Children were asked questions related to Mental Math, Pure Mathematics, Cross curricular applications and Demonstration of activities. Teachers along with students gave a power point presentation on ‘Innovation in Mathematics’ and shared their ideas.
The school being equipped with projectors in all the classrooms, children were shown films produced by Vigyan Prasar such as “The life of Srinivasa Ramanujan” and others. On the event of ‘Math day’ on 22nd December, the school organized a special programme wherein the significance of Math was shown in the form of a skit, dance and speech. The winners of the activities conducted during Ganit week were also awarded with a trophy and certificate.

The programme started with Swagatham and the students performed a dance to welcome the parents. All the 240 students of class IV came on the stage either as a speaker, a performer, a dancer, a singer or an orator.
The Principal, Ms.M.Varalakshmi welcomed the gathering and felt that apart from academics, co-curricular activities are also very important for the holistic development of a child. ‘Xpressions’ is a sincere attempt to bring forth the inherent talents of Class IV children.
The Primary Headmistress, Ms. Sonia Nagpal spoke about the thought behind the programme i.e. to bring all the students on the stage and make them confident individuals, individuals who are well informed, ethical decision makers and who can take on the challenges of life head on. She said that such programmes lead to a strong bonding and team work between the teachers and their students.
The Chairman Sri A. Murali Mukund, appreciated the efforts of the Head Mistress, teachers and the students for putting up such a wonderful programme. He also said that by organizing such programmes, results children in to becoming more focused and attentive in their academics. Children lose the fear of stage and build up their confidence by participating in such programmes.
