The Prestigious National Award for the Best Principals/Teachers of India to be awarded to The Principal of Jubilee Hills Public School Ms. M. Varalakshmi.
The Principal, Ms. M. Varalakshmi, Jubilee Hills Public School has been selected for the Prestigious National Award for the Best Principals/Teachers of India 2015. She is the only Principal from the states of Telangana & Andhra Pradesh to receive the Prestigious Award on the occasion of Teacher’s Day from Sri Pranab Mukherjee, the Honourable President of India. She has 28 years of experience in the field of Education. The school has received many awards under her leadership.
“The Honourable President of India will give away the award on 5th September, 2016 to give public recognition to meritorious Principals/Teachers working in different schools in India. The selection is made by a State Level Selection Committee/ Central Award Committee presided over by Director (Education) Head of the Organization with a nominee of the Union Government as a member. The names of the teachers as recommended by the committee are forwarded by the State Government/Organizations in order of merit. The Government of India makes the final selection on the basis of merit.” MHRD Website.
The award carries a Silver medal, a Certificate, and INR 50,000/- as award money. It is indeed a great achievement for her and for the school Jubilee Hills Public School more so because it is celebrating its 30th year of Excellence in Education.

Jubilee Hills Public School celebrated Independence Day in the school premises. The Chief Guest, Sri. A. Murali Mukund, Chairman, Jubilee Hills Public School and Secretary, Jubilee Hills Education Society, Vice President, Dr. Pavuluri Subba Rao, the Principal, the Academic Director, parents, alumni, students and staff graced the occasion.
India is celebrating its 70th Independence Day on 15th August, 2016. The day is celebrated with great joy and happiness all around in India. It is a day to pay a mark of respect to our freedom fighters because of whom we are breathing an air of freedom.
An air of patriotic dedication prevailed all over. The Chief Guest, Sri. A Murali Mukund unfurled the National Flag.
The Principal, Ms. M. Varalakshmi introduced the Chief Guest, Sri. A. Murali Mukund. In her address she requested the students to be sincere, study hard to become well educated in order to achieve goals. The Chief Guest, Sri. A. Murali Mukund, in his speech said that India has all the resources and potential to become No. 1 country in the world. He asked the students to be strong, disciplined and become selfless leaders to take India to a better position.
The Senior Secondary Head Girl,Aparajitha Acharya said that she would like to bring about changes in the country which would help in its progress and prosperity.The cultural programmes evoked a feeling of patriotism among the audience. The children performed a skit on ‘Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu,’ the Great Patriot of India. A message one’s love towards one’s country’ was extended by the students by their mesmerized performance.
The Chairman, Sri. A. Murali Mukund and the Vice President, Dr. Pavuluri Subba Rao gave away certificates who strived successfully for 100% attendance during the academic year 2015-16. The school’s Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam Quiz Club conducted Independence Day Quiz and prizes were given to the winners.The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by the Secondary Head Girl.

Jubilee Hills Public School showcased the skill and talent of each and every student of Class III through a fabulous show ‘Facets Of Life.’ It was a theme based programme to create awareness about the seven ‘Important D’s of Life.’(Dedication, Dreams, Devotion, Duty, Diligence, Discipline & Determination)The programme started with swagatham dance and song invoking Lord Ganesha’s blessings.
The Headmistress of Primary School Ms. Sonia Nagpal welcomed the gathering and said that for each and every achievement all the 7 D’s are of utmost importance. Thus, achievement comes in the way of those people who wish from the bottom of their heart, work in a planned manner, and work with honest devotion and the perseverance to carry on the job until the ultimate desire gets fulfilled.
The song, the dance and skit items presented were performed by the students with confidence and each student played his/her part well. The presentations were exemplary, one saw the hard work, the students have put in during the rehearsals, reaching its culmination.
The Chairman Sri A. Murali Mukund mentioned that students should not only be imparted excellent education but also be given great values. He emphasized that English is just the means of communication. Each child has a hidden talent. He emphasized that when school and parents work together then only progress will be achieved.The Academic Director Ms. G. Sree Devi stated that students should be taught the D’s of life. The next letter “E” or expectations from parents are more. But, let us also impart other skills like social skills, networking and collaboration to be embedded to be a better citizen.
The parents of Class III were overwhelmed with the performance of their children and some of them said that it was a wonderful programme. Some parents expressed heartfelt thanks to the teachers who were responsible for motivating their children to come up with such a wonderful programme.
