Convergence| Parent Day of Class III

On 22nd July 2017, Jubilee Hills Public Schooloraganised an Incredibleprogram in the school premises to celebrate the Parents’ Day. Of course, the preparation for their big day commenced a month agowhen the teachers planned and the children of class-3 worked and practiced really hard to impress their parents with their skill and talents. It was a theme based program called “Convergence” to create awareness about “Nature” and the need to conserve it. The program started with a Swagatham dance invoking Lord Krishna’s blessing. Students sang heart touching songs, danced on informative songs and skits were performed not only to entertain but also to convey the important message through the program. This day provides an opportunity to the children to show their love,affection and respect towards their parents. The love for their parents was clearly seen in their efforts.The performance of the students was appreciated by the Management and the parents.

PTA Meeting

Jubilee Hills Public School conducted the Annual PTA meeting on 22nd July, 2017 for classes VI to XII.

The Principal, Ms.M.Varalakshmi welcomed the parents and informed them about the aims and objectives of conducting Parent Teacher Association Meeting. She said that the core values of respect, commitment, accountability, collaboration and inclusivity are necessary for the development of the school and the child. Later, she apprised them about the awards, scholarships, achievements and gave them an insight into the activities, infrastructure and facilities available at school. She discussed on the importance of instilling values, discipline and punctuality in a student’s life. She asked the parents to monitor the time being spent on the usage of electronic gadgets.

Ms. G. Sree Devi, the Academic Director informed the parents about the CBSE results and apprised them about the changes in the curriculum. She compared the bond between the student, teacher and the parent to a triangle, where in the student is at the apex and the parent and teacher the vertices working together for the betterment of the child. Parent & Teacher Representatives from each class were then elected for the academic year to form PTA Executive Committee Body.

Sudden Demise of Prof.Y.V.Umapathi Varma

Well known Educationist, Retired Professor of Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Open University, Member of Jubilee Hills Education Society, Prof.Y.V.Umapathi Varma, left for the heavenly abode at midnight on 17th July, 2017. The Jubilee Hills Education Society and Jubilee Hills Public School family paid homage to him.

His contribution towards the development of the school and his passion towards moulding the future generations have brought many laurels for the school. Sri.K.Krishnadev Rao, President, Jubilee Hills Education Society, Sri.A.Murali Mukund, Chairman, Jubilee Hills Public School and Secretary, Jubilee Hills Education Society, and other Honourable Managing Committee Members expressed their grief and said that his dedication and hard work have contributed in a great way in establishing Jubilee Hills Public School.

Principal, Ms.M.Varalakshmi, Academic Director, Ms.G.Sree Devi and the entire staff of Jubilee Hills Public School bid a tearful adieu.

Parent Orientation

Jubilee Hills Public School conducted the Orientation Programme for parents on Saturday, the 24th of June, 2017. The Principal Ms. M.Varalakshmi welcomed the parents. In her speech, she said that school is a training ground for a child where opportunities are provided such that the child is future ready. She emphasized the need on discipline, values and parent monitoring.

The parents were informed about the Curriculum, Examination pattern and the teaching methodology at Jubilee Hills Public School. She advised the parents to encourage children to read and make it into a regular habit. She stressed upon the need to monitor the time being spent by the children with gadgets and over internet. She asked them to impress upon the child the need for social skills and physical activity.
Parents were extremely happy to attend the session. They reiterated that they looked forward to such informative sessions in the future too.

Vanamahotsav-Vriksho rakshati rakshitaha

Jubilee Hills Public School celebrated Vanamahotsav on 14th July, 2017 in the school premises. The Guests of Honour were, Dr.Kona Prabhavathi, Scientist, Telangana State Agricultural University, Hyderabad, Sri.K.Krishnadev Rao, President, Jubilee Hills Educational Society, Sri.A.Murali Mukund, Secretary, Jubilee Hills Education Society and Chairman, Jubilee Hills Public School. Ms.M.Varalakshmi, Principal, Ms.G.Sree Devi, Academic Director, Teachers, Parents and students also graced the occasion.

Principal, Ms.M.Varalakshmi, welcomed the gathering and said “let us all strive together for the campaign of the 3 pillars of Behtar Bharat i.e., Swatchtha, Vatavaran and Swastya”. Speaking on the occasion the Guest of Honour Dr. Kona Prabhavathi said that the future generation of India should realize the importance of planting trees so that a safe environment can be passed on to the next generation.

Academic Director, Ms.G.Sree Devi said that the colour Green signifies growth. She quoted Ms.Margaret Thatcher’s words, “Earth has enough for man’s need but not for his greed”. She said that the whole survival of mankind depends on nature. She asked the children to remember to plant a tree today and grow along with it.

The Guests of Honour and other guests were then presented with a Medicinal Plant. The cultural programmes presented by the students signifying the value of trees and the problems faced due to deforestation enthralled the audience.

Investiture Ceremony

The Investiture Ceremony of Jubilee Hills Public School for the academic session 2017-2018 was conducted in the School Assembly foyer. The event was presided over by the Chief Guest, Sri. K. Krishnadev Rao, President, Jubilee Hills Education Society, The Secretary, Jubilee Hills Education Society and The Chairman, Jubilee Hills Public School, Sri.A.Murali Mukund, Sri.Y.V.Umapathi Varma, esteemed Managing Committee Member. The Principal, Ms.M. Varalakshmi and The Academic Director, Ms G. Sree Devi, teachers, parents and students also graced the occasion. It was conducted with a high degree of sincerity and enthusiasm.

The Investiture ceremony denotes investment in being leaders and the trust & confidence the school reposes in newly vested office bearers for the involvement of the student community in day to day functioning of the school.

The programme commenced with the welcome address by the Principal, Ms. M. Varalakshmi. In her address, she talked about the leaders’ duties and responsibilities towards the school. She spoke about the three important V’s in leadership one must have- Vision, Values and being Victorious.

The Chief Guest pinned the badges and administered the oath to the newly elected leaders from the Kindergarten, Primary, Middle, Secondary and Senior Secondary Schools. The Chief Guest Sri. K. Krishnadev Rao, President, Jubilee Hills Education Society in his speech congratulated the newly elected Student Council members and said that there were different kinds of leaders of which, the most unrecognized were the parents who not only protect and guide, but also sacrifice their needs for their children. He described the qualities of a leader as the one who has a drive and ability, who is well informed, hard working, diligent, self motivated and also compassionate.

Speaking on the occasion, The Chairman, Sri.A.Murali Mukund stated that a leader should set an example with a lot of patience, discipline and delegate responsibilities. He also said that leadership instills discipline in the school as well as the society which in turn leads to development.

The Academic Director, Ms.G. Sree Devi congratulated the invested members and extolled the virtues of Arjuna who led The Pandavas to victory. She then gave nine pointers of a good leader as the one who can shape his identity, who has the light of clarity, arrow of concentration, desire and detachment, and the one who has the power of commitment, yoga in action, can discover devotion, choose the right path, and the one who has the vision of the goal. The cultural programmes put up by the students were inspiring. The newly elected members were motivated to take up their task with zeal and enthusiasm. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
