Jubilee Hills Public School showcased the skill and talent of each and every student of Class II through a fabulous show ‘The Inside Out’ on 30th December 2017. It was a theme, based on “emotions” and their related expressions. The programme started with Swagatham dance to welcome the parents. The entire programme was very well anchored in three languages. The songs, the dances, the yogasanas, and skits presented, were performed by the students with confidence and each student played his/her part well. The presentations were exemplary, one saw the hard work, the students have put into, in reaching its culmination. The audience were enthralled with the stunning performances of the children.
The parents of Class II and the Chairman, Sri.A.Murali Mukund, the Principal, Ms. M. Varalakshmi, Academic Director Ms.G. Sridevi Primary Headmistress, Ms. Sonia Nagpal and the parents appreciated and enjoyed the delightful performance which was presented with confidence and team spirit. Parents were overwhelmed with the performance of their children. Some parents expressed heartfelt thanks to the teachers who were responsible for motivating their children to come up with such a wonderful programme.

The students and staff of Jubilee Hills Public School celebrated ‘Christmas’ with great enthusiasm and energy. A special assembly was conducted in which students spoke on the significance of the festival. The students from various classes sang Christmas carols and danced to the tune of Christmas songs. Students dressed as ‘Santa Claus’ went around and distributed sweets. The children enjoyed the mesmerizing performances.
Math day too was celebrated the same day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sri. Srinivasa Ramanujan. Importance of Mathematics in everyday life was explained in a thought provoking manner. Perceiving a situation makes all the difference- was the virtue extolled through a beautiful skit. The Principal, Ms. M. Varalakshmi, wished the students a Merry Christmas.

The Alumni meet of Jubilee Hills Public School was organized in the school auditorium on 23rd December, 2017. The annual get together witnessed a large number of alumni. The nostalgic evening began with the Vice President of the Alumni association Mr. Srikanth, welcoming the gathering. He said that the Alumni Network was vast and through this network every alumnus gets to know the achievements of the school. The Vice President added that the Treasurer, Mr. A. Akarsh, has also been a great support to the alumni. Mr. A. Akarsh explained the reason behind conducting this meet year after year.
The Principal, Ms. M. Varalakshmi welcomed the gathering and said that it feels great that JHPS has given a platform to its former students to meet each other once a year so as to enliven the bonding shared by them.
The Academic Director, Ms. G.Sree Devi, greeted the alumni and thanked them for coming. She asked them to share their experiences with the students of secondary and guide them in choosing their career as they know the heights and the pitfalls of their profession.
In all, the ambience was electric, with people seen chatting and catching up with each other. They played games, danced and relived their school days. The meet ended with a promise to meet again next year and everyone bid an emotional farewell to each other.

Jubilee Hills Public School hosted a capacity building workshop on Classroom Management by the CBSE on 16thand 17th December, 2017. The resource persons were Ms. Anjali Razdan, Principal, AMS Obul Reddy Public School and Ms. Deborah Damaris, Vice Principal, Army Public School. The programme started with a ceremonial lighting of the lamp and a welcome dance by the students of Classes 7 and 8.
60 teachers from the school participated in the workshop. The Workshop talked about the various types of challenges the teachers face in their classrooms and the ways in which these situations can be managed effectively. Different scenarios were enacted and the solutions too were discussed scrupulously. The workshop was thoroughly enjoyed by the teachers and the knowledge gained through this was immense.

Jubilee Hills Public School celebrated its annual day with splendor on 9th December, 2017. The Chief Guest for the day was Honourable Sri Justice M. SitaramaMurti, High Court, Hyderabad. The President, Jubilee Hills Education Society, Sri. K. Krishnadev Rao, The Chairman,Jubilee Hills Public School, Sri. A. MuraliMukund, distinguished Managing Committee Members, Staff, Parents,Students and Alumni graced the occasion. The programme started with a swagatham song and dance invoking the lord’s blessings.
The Chief Guest Sri. Justice M. Sitarama Murti said that he was happy coming to a temple of learning and joy. He said that the teachers were second parents while the parents were always the first teacher for the child.He exemplified that studying for learning was important and equally important are the values one learns through life. He asked the students to enjoy what they do and do it supremely well and greet the future with hope and anticipation.
Addressing the gathering The Chairman, Sri. A. Murali Mukund said, the intention to provide good education, having a good faculty, the parents encouragement and the students hard work have been the pillars of success of JHPS. With the same objective JHPS has started a branch at Rampally and the same vision is being carried forward in starting a school at Vijayawada. He also reiterated that the technology should be used positively to learn and not misuse it.
The Principal welcomed the gathering and spoke about the school’s academic and sports achievements as well as the many laurels won by the school at the national and international levels.
The Academic Director, Ms. G. Sree Devi then briefed about the awards and the selection process which goes into rewarding the deserving students. Cash awards and Certificates of Appreciation were given to the teachers who had 100% attendance. The Chief Guest and The President awarded the Gold medals, Silver medals and scholarships to the students in academics, sports and co-scholastic areas. A special scholarship cash award was given to a deserving student.
The evening gathered momentum with beautiful dances, thought provoking skits which talked about women empowerment and provided insights into our glorious past. The Audience was left spell bound with the Jugalbandi performed by the students. The evening took a divine turn with slokas sung by the Primary students. The programme ended with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem.

Jubilee Hills Public School garnered international recognition with a jury is choice award at the World Education Summit, Dubai held on 26th- 27th November, 2017. JHPS was honoured for Introducing Impelling Innovations in Teaching Pedagogy. The jury’s opinion was that the teachers of Jubilee Hills Public School focus on every student and the assessment and evaluation approach of the school helps the children develop holistically.
The World Education Summit is co-hosted by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, Govt. of Dubai. JHPS is the only school from South India to have been conferred the Award amongst a few other schools from the rest of India, Netherlands, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Qatar and Dubai. The award was received by The Academic Director, Ms. G. Sree Devi. The Academic Director was also one of the speakers on the panel speaking on “Green Schools: Future of Global schools”.
The Management of JHPS congratulated the entire staff and the students on their achievement of gaining recognition internationally.

BOOK WEEK ‘ADHYAYAN’ the knowledge fest, was celebrated in Jubilee Hills Public School from 27th November to 2nd December, 2017.The main aim of the programme was to inculcate reading habits among the students.
A special assembly was conducted where a dance’ Saraswathi Vandana’ was presented beautifully. During the week different competitions such as ‘Story-telling’, ‘Spell bee’, ‘Book Cover preparation’, ‘Rhymes Recitation’ and ‘Book Review competition’ were conducted. These were conducted so as to create awareness about the importance of reading books among the students and also to help in their overall development. Prizes were given to the students as a mark of appreciation.
DEAR – Time (Drop Everything and Read) was held successfully in order to promote reading habit in students where everyone including the staff and students participated enthusiastically.
Speaking on the occasion, the Principal, Ms. M. Varalakshmi told the students that books are our best friends. She added that students must read books, as reading not only brings pleasure but increases ones knowledge and the language skills too.
