Rashtriya Ekta Diwas

Jubilee Hills Public School celebrated ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel. On the occasion, the school fraternity took a pledge to dedicate itself to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation and strive hard to spread the message among the fellow countrymen and also contribute to the internal security of the country. The pledge was taken after the students participated enthusiastically in the ‘Run for Unity’ at the School.

The occasion helped the students realize the inherent strength and resilience of the nation to withstand the actual and potential threats to unity, integrity and security of the country.

Vigilance Awareness Week

In order to inculcate awareness on vigilance in public life and build ethics Jubilee Hills Public School observed Vigilance Awareness Week from 29th October to 3rd November, 2018. An ‘Integrity Pledge’ was administered in the school for students, teachers and other staff members. The school conducted various competitions in essay writing, slogan writing, cartoon making and poster making. Two Departments from the Government of India, ‘The RBI’ and ‘The Income Tax Department’ held an Essay Writing Competition and Elocution Competition respectively in the secondary school during The Vigilance Awareness Week.

The RBI conducted an Essay Writing competition for Classes IX to XII on the topic ‘Eradicate Corruption- build a new India’. Three students from Class IX won a cash prize. E. Gnana Sumedha won the first prize, Sri Keerthika.G stood second and Girija Manika Prasad stood third. The Income Tax Department conducted an Elocution Competition for Classes XI and XII on the topic ‘My idea for corruption free India.’ K. Vasudha from Class XI stood first. She won a Gold Medal.

Field Trip to Heritage Foods Ltd.

The students of class XI and XII were taken on a field trip to Heritage foods Ltd, Uppal, a food processing plant on 6/10/2018. The plant at Uppal processes ice cream, milk, ghee, curd and butter. The team of Heritage Foods who guided the students explained the various processes , how it is packed, stored and finally distributed to customers. The students learned the different stages of transformation of raw material to finished products. It was a very interesting and informative session for the students.

Career Counseling by Canada Universities

A career counseling session was held on 5/10/2018 by Ms. Neha Dixit representative of Vancouver Island University and King’s University College in Jubilee Hills Public School auditorium from 9.30 a.m to 10.30 am. The session gave information regarding the various undergraduate programs held in the Universities, scholarship programs, fee structure and the process of getting admission in those universities.

Class I Field Trip

The purpose of the field trip as far as education is concerned is that they link the classroom education with the external world.

On 4th October 2018, an educational field trip to Post Office, Fire Station and Axis Bank was organized by Jubilee Hills Public School for the students of Class I in order to enable the students to understand the importance of community helpers. It gave them practical experience of the activities performed by fire man, postmen and the bankers. Children were excited to post letters to their parents in the post box ,which were prepared beautifully by the students, and not forgetting the tough job done by the firemen were displayed with such understanding to enable the student to learn fight fire in time of emergency.

Students were taken to the nearby Axis Bank to learn about the processes, working of ATM and its uses. They had a very informative session about community helpers.
