CBSE Capacity Building Programme

Jubilee Hills Public School in collaboration with The Centre of Excellence, Kakinada, organized a CBSE Capacity building programme on Inclusive Education on 24th and 25th November, 2018. 60 teachers from all the departments participated in the programme. The Resource persons for the workshop were Ms. E. Kameshwari, Principal, Oasis School, Raidurg and Ms. S. G. Sunitha, Principal, Little Scholars School.

The teachers were enlightened about the ‘Right of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016’ and on recognition of various disabilities in children and how to include the children in mainstream education while helping them simultaneously in their time of need.

The workshop was conducted using different methodologies such as role plays, storytelling, case study, poetry recitation, power point presentations. The workshop was very educative and motivating. All the teachers left the Workshop with the aim of including such children in the mainstream education and motivate others also to do the same. The teachers thanked the Jubilee Hills Public School management for providing the training.

Baby’s Day Out

Baby’s Day Out’ for children of classes II and III on 24th November, 2018, was organized at Jubilee Hills Public School. This fun-filled event was organized to bring in a feeling of sharing, caring and friendly approach amongst the children.It was a day out with their teachers and friends, away from their parents.

One could see their faces lit with joy as they came at around 8:00 a.m. on 24th November and were warmly welcomed by the Headmistress, Ms. C. Srilatha and their teachers. The morning started with a prayer and a welcome dance. Next were some energetic and stunning dance performances by the kids which mesmerized the audience.After having a healthy breakfast served by the school, they were seen thoroughly engrossed in various activities like Propping Hoops Relay, Forward Jumping Relay, Board Games, Magic Show and Ventriloquism.

Relishing the food while chatting with their peers was a different experience. Watching a movie in the company of their friends was exciting and exceptional, as the students sang songs and enjoyed every moment of the day.
Dancing on the foot tapping numbers was the most awaited event where our young ones exhibited their dancing talent. They danced with all the energy they had and enjoyed the evening. The children had their evening snack at 5:00 p.m. followed by a Bonfire. Everyone had a great time wanting for more. The parents thanked the School Management for organizing such an event to enhance the social skills of the children.

Adhyayan

Book Week ‘ADHYAYAN’ the knowledge fest, was celebrated in Jubilee Hills Public School from 19th November to 22nd November, 2018. The main aim of the school was to inculcate reading habits among the students.

A special assembly was conducted where a dance ‘Namo Sarada’ was presented beautifully. During the week various competitions such as ‘Story-telling’, ‘Spell bee’, ‘Book review’, ‘Rhymes Recitation’, ‘Book Cover Preparation’, ‘Story Writing’ were conducted. These competitions were conducted so as to create awareness about the importance of reading books among the students, to help build their creativity and inculcate competitive spirit. Prizes were given to the students as a mark of appreciation.

DEAR – Time (Drop Everything and Read) was held successfully in order to promote reading habit in students. Everyone including the staff and students partook in the DEAR enthusiastically. Speaking on the occasion, the Principal, Ms. M. Varalakshmi told the students that books are our best friends. She added that students must read books, as reading not only brings pleasure but increases ones knowledge and the language skills too.

Childrens Day

“Today’s children are the future of tomorrow’. Keeping this adage in mind, Jubilee Hills Public School celebrated Children’s Day with gaiety and fervour. The teachers put up a splendid show livening up the stage with their performances which showed their love towards their students. The performances included energetic songs, chutkule, ramp walk and scintillating dances by the teachers.

The students enjoyed every moment of the day as their beloved teachers put up an impressive performance for them. There was joy all around and the campus buzzed with renewed energy and excitement. The school organised a Picnic for its Secondary students to Wonderla on 15th November.On the occasion of Children’s day, Divya Teja of Class X received the ATL Boy- Student-Preneur Certificate and Adrika Gaur of Class VI received the ATL Girl Student-Preneur Certificate.

Cardiological Society of India conducted an Essay Writing Competition for Classes VIII-X in ‘Positive Attitude, healthy diet and adequate exercise for a healthy heart’. Kashvi and Udaya Rajan of Class IX received the First and Second prizes respectively, while Varsha of Class VIII received the Third prize in the essay writing competition. The prizes were given by Dr. P. Sridhar Reddy, Joint Secretary, Cardiological Society of India, Telangana and Cardiologist, Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills.

Diwali Celebrations 06.11.2018

Diwali also known as the festival of lights was celebrated in all its splendor at Jubilee Hills Public School. The celebrations started with Lakshmi Puja. Diwali is celebrated to honour the triumph of good over evil. The significance of the festival was portrayed in a beautiful skit followed by a dance worshipping Goddess Lakshmi.

A pledge was taken by the management and entire school to celebrate a green eco-friendly Diwali. Sri. T. Harischandra Prasad, Secretary, Jubilee Hills Education Society, wished the gathering a safe and happy Diwali. The Principal, Ms. M. Varalakshmi wished the students and their families on the occasion.
