Alumni Meet 2018

The Alumni meet of Jubilee Hills Public School was organized in the school auditorium on 29th December, 2018. The annual get together witnessed the alumni interacting with each other, remembering the most memorable moments of their years in the school. The Chairman Sri A. Murali Mukund, Principal, Ms. M. Varalakshmi, Academic Director, Ms. G. Sree Devi graced the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, the Chairman said that he is proud of the students and asked them to come back and make their teachers proud. He updated the students with the new facilities which the school is providing.
Addressing the meet, the Principal, Ms. M. Varalakshmi welcomed the alumni and said that it feels great that JHPS has given a platform to its students to meet each other once a year so as to enliven the bonding shared by them. She recalled her experience with an alumnus.

The Academic Director, Ms. G. Sree Devi, greeted the alumni, thanked them for coming. She asked them to share their experiences with the students of secondary and guide them in their career paths as they know the heights and the pitfalls of their profession. The nostalgic evening began with the Vice President of the Alumni association Mr. Srikanth, welcoming the gathering. He said that the alumnus cherish every year when they get to meet their teachers and visit the school. The alumnus then felicitated their teacher Ms. Lakshmi Sudha for her 25 years of tireless service to the school.

In all, the ambience was electric, with people seen chatting and catching up with each other. They played games, sang songs, danced and relived their school days. The meet ended with a promise to meet again next year as everyone bid an emotional farewell to each other. Mr. A. Akarsh , Treasurer ended the meeting with a vote of thanks. The event was successfully coordinated by Ms. G. Durga, Headmistress and Ms. Lakshmi Sudha.

National Mathematics Day

“Pure Mathematics in its way is poetry of logical ideas, the music of reason.”

National Mathematics Day was celebrated at Jubilee Hills Public School on the 28th of December, 2018. The day is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of Indian Mathematical genius Srinivasa Ramanujan. The main aim of the celebration was to awaken the interest and temperament towards the subject through thought provoking skit, speeches and dances proving that learning mathematics is good for one’s brain and it helps everyone in dealing with their finances, time and many more daily aspects in life.

Annual Day Celebrations 22.12.2018

Jubilee Hills Public School celebrated its annual day with a magnificent display of talent by its students. Honourable Vice President of India, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He was accompanied by, The Honourable Home Minister, Telangana, Shri Mahmood Ali, Sri K. Krishnadev Rao, President, Jubilee Hills Education Society, Sri A. Murali Mukund, Chairman, Jubilee Hills Public School, Sri T. Harischandra Prasad, Secretary, Jubilee Hills Education Society, Ms. M. Varalakshmi, Principal and distinguished Managing Committee Members. Staff, Parents, Students and Alumni attended the event and made it a success.
The programme started with a Welcome Dance-’Swagatham’ to invoke the lord’s blessings and welcome the eminent guests.

The Chairman, Sri. A. Murali Mukund greeted the renowned guests and said that it was an honour to have the Vice President in the gathering. He said that the students of Jubilee Hills Public School were fortunate to have had the blessings of the President, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam who visited the school in the year 2005, and now the Vice President, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu was honouring them with his presence. He explained about the facilities being provided at the school and the Innovative Methodologies adopted to facilitate the teaching learning process.

Secretary, Jubilee Hills Education Society, Sri T. Harischandra Prasad, said that the school has been taking forward the learning mechanism rather than the teaching mechanism. He also stated that one system of education has to be implemented throughout the country so as to provide equal opportunities and also eradicate the financial inequalities in the society. The President, Jubilee Hills Education Society, Sri K. Krishnadev Rao, said that the kids are our future and the teachers are entrusted with it. He said that the students have to be taught about our roots, heritage and culture. He asked every individual to speak and debate about the issues which trouble India such as “Water Problem” and “Famine”. He also stated that every teacher at JHPS is trained to use the technology and gadgets in teaching.

The Principal, Ms. M. Varalakshmi shared about into grand achievements of the chief guest. The Chief Guest Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu known for his brilliant oratory skills, alliterations and similes left the audience enthralled. The Chief Guest said that he was delighted to attend the Annual Day function of Jubilee Hills Public School. He also said that it gives him immense joy in interacting with the students who are poised to take the nation to new heights. He reminisced his childhood with his parents and grandparents and stated that their words have paved a way to where he stands now. He emphasized that one of most important part of our Indian culture is the family system which is also our identity. He accentuated that we should feel proud of our rich culture and must protect it. He said that whatever the children learn in their childhood is from their parents or from teachers and it makes an impact. Education should enable a child to differentiate the good from the bad, enhance their knowledge, empower them and also make them employable.

A Special Award was given by the distinguished guest to Ms. Lakshmi Sudha, Mathematics teacher, for completion of 25years of dedicated service at the school. Cash awards and Certificates of Appreciation were given to the teachers who had 100% attendance. The Chief Guest and the President of Jubilee Hills Education Society awarded the Gold and Silver medals and scholarships to the students in academics, sports and co-scholastic areas. A special scholarship cash award was given to a student.

The evening gathered momentum with spectacular dances such as ‘Shakti rupa- Navadurga’, and the ‘Hues of life’, thought provoking skits and provided insights into our glorious past through monologues by students performing as the great freedom fighter, Subhash Chandra Bose and the Rakshasa King Ravanasura. The Audience was left spellbound with the Jugalbandi performed by the students. The evening took a divine turn with slokas sung by the Primary students.

The skit on “Bhakta Prahalad” brought the age old epic to life. The portrayal of the characters of the Rakshasa father, Hiranyakasyapa and his devotee son Prahalada left the audience enthralled. The rendition of the slokas from the epic was much applauded. The programme ended with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem.

Fantasia of Class II

‘TARANG- FANTASIA’ was organized on 15th of December 2018 by the students of Class II in Jubilee Hills Public School. The students presented different stories in different languages with creative and dramatic skills. The audiences were welcomed with a pleasant prayer song and a welcome dance. The Primary Headmistress Ms.C.Srilatha, addressed the gathering and briefed about the theme Fantasia, which means fantasy. She stated that these stories help children explore, express, understand emotions and solve the problems by taking them to a different world. She also reminded the parents their responsibility to read stories for their children to enhance the learning possibilities.

The whole programme was very well anchored in three languages. The dances, skits, performances and the role plays were well executed by the students with fluent dialogue delivery and natural acting taking the audience to an imaginative world that has no boundaries. The Chairman, Sri A. Murali Mukund, appreciated the students for rendering different types of dramatic stories and also appreciated the teachers for a beautiful programme. He added that these programmes will develop and inculcate confidence, coordination and communication to present themselves out in the world. He applauded the class II comperes for anchoring the programme wonderfully.

The parents of Class II were awestruck with the striking and well turned-out presentations of their children and carried lots of reminiscences by the end of the show.

Tarang of Class I

Jubilee Hills Public School conducted Tarang of class 1 on 1st December, 2018, with the theme “Voice of the Earth”. Class 1 adorned the stage with their beautiful smiles and presented their talents through skits, debate and dances. The programme witnessed spectacular performances which suggested the ways to fight against wildlife crime, to include laughter in our lives, to create awareness about the importance of health, humanity and to have a better environment in order to have a better society.
The Primary Headmistress Ms.C.Srilatha, addressed the gathering and briefed the theme of the day. In her speech she said that the actions taken by us refer to the betterment of the society and can curb the burning issues in the present scenario. She added that the students would take up the responsibility of saving our mother nature through such programmes.

The Secretary of Jubilee Hills Education Society, Sri T. HarisChandra Prasad, appreciated the students. He stressed that these programmes will give a wide exposure to the students to better themselves and their growth should not be hindered by parents with their pampering.

The Academic Director, Ms. G. Sree Devi appreciated the children for their amazing performance and mentioned that the students have learnt that education is not bound to the classroom but it can be learnt by networking, communication and critical thinking which will help them to carry the sensitivity of the future. The parents of Class 1 were very happy with the wonderful performances of their children and carried lots of memories by end of the show.
