CBSE Regional Level Science Exhibition

The CBSE Regional Level Science Exhibition was inaugurated at the Jubilee Hills Public School premises on 15th December, 2016. The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries, the Chairman, Sri. A. Murali Mukund, the Vice President, Sri. D. Vidyasagar, the Principal, Ms. M. Varalakshmi and the Academic Director, Ms. G. Sree Devi. The eminent scientists, Dr. Bhupal Raj, Dr. V. Dinesh, Mr. Indrajit Patra, Dr. Kirti Srivastava, Dr. Kasyapa and Dr. P. Hemagiri Rao graced the occasion and were the judges for the event.

The Hillside magazine of the school was released by Dr. Kirti Srivastava. As a token of appreciation medicinal saplings were given to all the eminent guests. 72 schools from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with 280 students and 70 teachers came to participate in the 3 day event.

The Principal, Ms. M. Varalakshmi, welcomed the gathering and said that it was ‘Science’ that had brought students from various schools together. She also added that this event would showcase the scientific talent of the students. Mentioning the achievements of Dr.Pavaluri, she said that JHPS was honoured to have eminent scientists in the school management.

The Chairman, Sri. A. Murali Mukund stated that it was a matter of pride and honour for JHPS to organize such a prestigious show. He said that students are the budding and future scientists who would play a major role in the growth of our country. He asked the students to be patient which would help them to succeed in their lives.

The Academic Director, Ms. G. Sree Devi, said that the exhibition would definitely rejuvenate the scientific temper of the students. She asked them to sow the seed of Science, water it and fertilize it. She thanked the students for the participation and called them the Chief Guests of the day.

Dr. Kirti Srivastava, the Chief Scientist at NGRI said that each child has the potential to explore Science and it is important to be honest, do their duties with devotion and the sky would be their limit. The programme came to end with the vote of thanks by the Academic Secretary, student council, Mas. Priyam L.
