National Award for Best Principals/Teachers of India
The Principal, Ms. M. Varalakshmi, Jubilee Hills Public School has been selected for the Prestigious National Award for the Best Principals/Teachers of India 2015. She is the only Principal from the states of Telangana & Andhra Pradesh to receive the Prestigious Award on the occasion of Teacher’s Day from Sri Pranab Mukherjee, the Honourable President of India. She has 28 years of experience in the field of Education. The school has received many awards under her leadership.
“The Honourable President of India will give away the award on 5th September, 2016 to give public recognition to meritorious Principals/Teachers working in different schools in India. The selection is made by a State Level Selection Committee/ Central Award Committee presided over by Director (Education) Head of the Organization with a nominee of the Union Government as a member. The names of the teachers as recommended by the committee are forwarded by the State Government/Organizations in order of merit. The Government of India makes the final selection on the basis of merit.” MHRD Website.
The award carries a Silver medal, a Certificate, and INR 50,000/- as award money. It is indeed a great achievement for her and for the school Jubilee Hills Public School more so because it is celebrating its 30th year of Excellence in Education.
Jubilee Hills Public School President, Chairman and other managing committee members congratulated the Principal. The Principal also expressed her gratitude to the President, Sri K. Jubilee Hills Kindergarten School celebrated Janmashtami on 24th August 2016. The Principal, Ms. M. Varalakshmi, the Academic Director Ms. G. Sree Devi, the Academic coordinator, Ms. Suneeta Roopchand, the Secondary Headmistress, Ms. G. Durga and the Pre- Primary & Primary Head mistress, Ms.Sonia Nagpal graced the occasion.
The programme commenced with a ramp walk by children dressed like little Krishnas and Gopikas, followed by a speech on the importance of Janmashtami. The dance performances to the tunes of “Mayya Yashoda” and ‘Bujji Bujji Adugulatho’ mesmerized the audience. The programme came to an end with students of UKG breaking the earthen pot. It was indeed a marvellous show put up by the students of the Pre-Primary Section to celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna.
The ‘Wonderful World’ a magnificent show was presented by the students of UKG C & D on 20th August 2016. It is our responsibility to keep our surroundings neat and clean and protect our Earth by saving trees. We also need to save energy and use natural resources judiciously. To bring about the awareness among students and make the students responsible citizens of the future, the theme ‘The Wonderful World’ was chosen for the Parent Day.
The programme commenced with a prayer song sung by UKG students followed by a welcome address by Ms. Sonia Nagpal who said that curriculum at JHKS emphasizes on innovative teaching methodologies where in students have hands on experience in the classroom. As a part of upgradation in inquiry based education, JHKS has come up with classroom activities like science experiments, discovery table and role plays which help in improving overall performance of the student. She added that Parent Days focus on the holistic development of each and every student.
Master. Md. Ashaz Saif, a student of UKG welcomed the gathering followed by a captivating dance performance to the song ‘Bujji Bujji Adugulatho’. An informative speech on ‘Earth’ was given by Ms. Aradhya Gupta followed by a song “Earth we are in it together”.
Brown Colour Day was also celebrated along with Parent Day. The dance to the tune of ‘Choco Choco Chocolate’ enthralled the audience. The programme continued with a speech on endangered animals like tiger and panda. A skit on “Save Trees” and a dance drama “Swachh Bharat” mesmerized the audience.
Parents were very happy to see their children perform confidently on the stage. They shared their views and felt that excellent concepts were chosen to enhance the students knowledge at this young age and appreciated the efforts and hard work put in by the teachers.
The Chairman Sri. A. Murali Mukund and the Academic Director Ms. G. Sree Devi appreciated the efforts put in by the teachers and the students. The programme came to an end with a vote of thanks by Master Samarth.
