Class XI & XII Field Trip

EXCURSION TO THE NORTH OF INDIA CLASSES XI & XII

Jubilee Hills Public School, Hyderabad organized an excursion for the students of classes 11 &12 from the 5th to the 10th of October 2024. The students embarked on the much awaited excursion with joy and anticipation in their hearts. Covering a range of diverse locations, from Hyderabad to Delhi, Chandigarh, Chail, and Shimla, this trip was packed with thrilling adventures, scenic beauty, and some truly unforgettable moments.

The students and teachers kicked off their journey by meeting at the Hyderabad railway station at 6:00 AM in the morning to board the train from Hyderabad to Delhi. The students spent the journey playing board games, chitchatting. Dinner and lunch was served on board. The students also got to enjoy and observe wonderful landscapes along the journey.

Upon arrival in Delhi at about 7:45 AM the students were transferred to Chandigarh via an AC coach. Breakfast was provided en route. Upon arriving in Chandigarh, the students and teachers checked into the hotel and had their lunch. Post lunch was followed by a visit to the famous Rock Garden, where they explored the artistic use of waste materials and later for a relaxing evening stroll to Sukhna Lake. After dinner, the students visited Sector 17 Market for some leisure shopping. The night ended with an overnight stay in Chandigarh.

The next day began with the much anticipated trip to Chail. Post lunch they embarked on adventurous activities like zip lining, rock, climbing etc. This was the highlight of the trip with all the students exploring their adventurous side and enjoying themselves thoroughly. The Bonfire organized in the evening led to some memorable moments of joy and camaraderie as the students and teachers gathered together for a bonfire and joined in and enjoyed some amazing music and dance which gave a lively end to the day.

The fourth day started with a peaceful nature trek to a Shiva temple. Students enjoyed the trek to the temple, which refreshed their mind and the serene atmosphere of the temple resulted in a feeling of peace.  After breakfast, they departed for Shimla, with a brief stop at Kufri, where they visited the Himalayan nature park and enjoyed the views. Upon arriving in Shimla, students visited the Christ Church, one of the oldest Neo-Gothic churches in India, followed by a trek to Mall Road for sightseeing and a lot of shopping. The students enjoyed looking at the famous handlooms of Shimla and purchased them as gifts for their families back home. The night ended with a sumptuous dinner at the hotel and an overnight stay in Shimla.

Post breakfast, the students left from Shimla to Delhi, enjoying a very scenic and beautiful journey. Post arrival at Delhi students checked into the hotel and slept after the long journey. The final day of the trip, students began their day by having breakfast at the hotel, followed by a visit to the Air Force Museum, which showed the history of Indian aviation. Qutub Minar that was next on the itinerary amazed the students with its extraordinary architecture and history. Post lunch, the students were transferred to Delhi airport to fly back to Hyderabad.

The excursion was a blend of learning, fun and adventure. It was a wonderful learning journey, with the students feeling rejuvenated and refreshed by the scenic beauty and peaceful environment. The trip was well-organized and provided a balanced mix of education and recreation, leaving the students with unforgettable memories.
