Diwali Celebrations

Celebrating festivals is an integral part of learning at Jubilee Hills Public School, Hyderabad. Through such celebrations, children not only learn the significance behind the festival, but they also learn to embrace other traditions and culture.

The school celebrated Diwali on 29th October, 2024, nurturing a sense of unity and cultural pride among students and staff. The event emphasized the spirit of Diwali which symbolizes the triumph of good over evil. It also encouraged students to honor traditional values while being conscious of the environment.

The celebration began with a devotional song, followed by lively dance performances that reflected the joy and togetherness that Diwali brings to our families and communities. A few children spoke about the significance and safety rules of the festival and how the celebrations go across the nation.

The Principal, P. Kanchana Valli in her speech, advised the students to celebrate Diwali responsibly. She urged students to be environmental friendly and also uphold traditional values. She encouraged the use of eco-friendly decorations and oil lamps instead of firecrackers.

At the end of the event, the students understood the true importance of the festival and vowed to celebrate a “Green Diwali”. Overall, it was a great blend of tradition and responsibility.
