Republic Day Celebrations

It has been 75 years since our Constitution came into effect on January 26, 1950, and the patriotic pride within us grows stronger every year. The 76th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and passion at Jubilee Hills Public School on January 26, 2025. The program commenced with a warm welcome to the esteemed guests and dignitaries.

The event began with a ceremonial Guard of Honour presented by the school’s contingent, followed by the flag hoisting by the Director, Ms. M. Varalakshmi, symbolizing the pride and unity of our nation.

The Principal, Ms. P. Kanchana Valli, delivered a heartfelt welcome address, emphasizing the importance of Republic Day and the values enshrined in our Constitution. She emphasized the crucial role of the youth in shaping the future of India. She also took the opportunity to highlight the remarkable achievements of the students, celebrating their contributions to the school and beyond.

The students showcased their talents through various cultural programs, which started with a vibrant Zumba performance that energized the audience. A patriotic Republic Day Tableau depicted India’s rich heritage, with the theme “Vikas & Virasat” (Development and Heritage). It celebrated 75 years of adopting the Indian Constitution. The various formations depicted the cultures of different states of India and the diversity of our country.

A stunning Hoola Hoops Drill and a rhythmic Dumbbell Drill demonstrated teamwork and precision. Students delivered an inspiring Republic Day speech in Telugu, expressing their patriotism. Patriotic songs and dances added a touch of emotional fervor to the celebrations.

The guest of honour, Smt. M. Varalakshmi, then addressed the gathering. She spoke of the history of the country and urged the students to raise the bar in their efforts towards developing the nation and excelling in various other fields.

The event culminated with a house-wise Mass Drill presentation. The students finally formed the five Olympic rings, showcasing the year 2025 as the Year of Quantum Science and Technology, the Mahakumbh Mela, the planetary alignment, and the vision of a Viksit Bharat, emphasizing the nation’s progress and aspirations for growth and development. It also made us remember that we all are together—We, the people of India, are the real strength of this great nation.

Students also participated in Recreational Games and Sports Events, including Relay Races, Mass Drill, and Pyramid Formations, showcasing their athleticism and sportsmanship.

Lastly, the most awaited event, the Prize Distribution Ceremony, took place. Students were recognized for their outstanding achievements in academics, co-curricular activities, and sports. In addition, the houses were rewarded for their year-long progress, acknowledging their collective efforts and dedication. The first place was bagged by Ganga House, and the second prize was bagged by Godavari House.

President Sri A. Murali Mukund presented awards to the prize winners, recognizing their outstanding achievements in academics, sports, and co-curricular activities, acknowledging their hard work and dedication.

The celebrations concluded with a Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event. The day instilled a sense of national pride and unity, leaving lasting memories for all attendees.
