Special Education at the JHPS
’If you desire to make a difference in the world, you must be different from the world”, and being different is no taboo, rather a blessing. Ironically, we follow a uniform system for all age groups despite of differences in their learning abilities.
Every student can learn, just not on the same day or in the same way. Aim of an educational institute is not just to provide education, but to check and intervene that it is received adequately.
The deep-rooted and proficient institution of JHPS has developed a well-equipped Learning Resource Center (LRC) to address the academic issues emerged due to the learning gaps in various students. The proficient psychologists and special educators assess the capabilities and difficulties faced by a child and intervene to enhance their academic performance and emotional well-being. This is done by formulating an Individualized Education Program (IEP) for every student enrolled in LRC.
The IEP facilitates academic progress by providing least restrictive environment with tailored instruction, accommodations, modifications and exemptions based on the child’s needs. This is not to categorize but to support, so as to bring a change, with a smile.
Our motto at JHPS: If a child can’t learn the way we teach, let’s teach them in the way they learn.
