World Earth Day

Earth Day is celebrated across the world with a beautiful message – “Our continuing efforts in our everyday lives will make this beautiful planet thrive.” Echoing the same, Jubilee Hills Public School, Hyderabad, commemorated World Earth Day on 22nd April 2025 with immense zeal and participation. The program was organized for the students of Pre-Primary, Primary and Secondary to enlighten students on the significance of preserving the environment and promoting sustainable practices.

The event aimed to raise awareness about environmental conservation and, sustainability among students.The celebration included a series of educational activities that were conducted for the students from  Nursery to Class X.

  • The students of Pre-Primary, Primary participated in colouring and collage activities by decorating representations of the Mother Earth using blue and green colours to symbolize water and land.
  • The students actively involved in meaningful discussions about the importance of planet Earth and how to safeguard it. Students expressed their thoughts and ideas on maintaining a clean and green Earth.
  • The students earnestly took an inspiring Earth Day Pledge affirming their commitment to protect the planet and reinforcing their dedication in preserving nature.
  • This was succeeded by a lively and energetic Green Run, also organized by Class 8, to symbolize the urgent need for sustainable and healthy lifestyle.
  • Demonstrating an innovative blend of technology and ecology, students of Classes 9 &10 created QR codes for the various plant species nurtured on the JHPS school campus, enabling easy access to information about the school’s green biodiversity. Students enjoyed both the research and the technical aspect of the activity. This activity allowed others to scan and learn while walking through the area. It turned the school premises into an interactive learning space.
  • Additionally, students of Classes 6 & 7 showcased their creativity through a vibrant poster-making activity on the theme ‘Earth Day’, who vividly expressed thoughts and messages on environmental conservation through their art.

The celebration concluded on an inspiring note, encouraging all students and staff to take proactive steps towards building a greener and more sustainable future. Overall, it was a creative and informative way to celebrate World Earth Day.
